Eerie Lullaby, pt1
04:11
|
|||
Can you hear the anthem of the lullaby?
Soothing words to hide from us the truth
A truth so easy to ignore
A burden to set aside for those who'll follow
For future generations to come..
If they will get a chance.. If Mother will still sustain them..
It's time to end the anthem of the lullaby
Face the facts and do what must be done
A choice for you and me.
So we can live and see
The future generations to come..
So they will have a chance. So Mother will still sustain them!
I should say we are sorry, but words do not make up for the wounds so deep.
Not when we are still pushing you into your endless sleep.

Polymer Infection
03:56
|
|||
Decade after decade.. of neglect.
A dumping ground for our luxury... Debris we leave behind.
No regulation, no rules or law
In the endless waters, what could go wrong?
The fibres broken down by sun and salt.
To tiny threads that we can hardly see, but surely they persist.
A swirling madness, infecting all..
Creeping through the chain and into it all..
Is this the world that we're aiming for..?
Is this the world that we pass to our young?
Aren't these waters worth fighting for...?
The waters that we might destroy...
With fuel and chemicals, sewage and shit!
In a vortex filled with waste!
I should say we are sorry, but words do not make up for the wounds so deep.
Not when we are still pushing you into your endless sleep.

A Drone's Plight
04:35
|
|||
A drone from the hive flying far, for sustenance.
Seeking nectar so sweet for his brethren and Queen.
But the flower is life-giver no more.
And the drone he brings the poison back home.
Brings the poison back home!
One by one, getting sick, ever more as time goes by.
Falling down, feeling bad, even more and more...
Soon the struggle is hard with wings that no longer fly
No, the drone he should not have come home.
Should not have come home..
The Queen's left alone as the colony fades away.
And the spreading of dust is left undone.
So the cycle is broken and seeds, they fail to fall.
And the next season is lost..
The next season is lost!

Dark Wealth
06:56
|
|||
A civilization needs it's power, but where does it get that power from?
And the need grows ever higher..
And some of the sources we use, the are not clean!
We dig in the soil.
We drill through the ground.
We carry the fossils to the surface,
so it can burn!
A transport network, spanning the seas
Satisfying the cravings we've got. Our hunger..
So many ships..
Travelling so far..
Burning the carbon fuel
A dark wealth from ancient eons,
Resources that's better left,
in the ground..
To fuel our perpetual progress,
Filling mothers lungs with what she does not need
Soaring through the sky on massive wings
Millions of passengers per day
Spewing the exhaust out, by the ton
To much to ever go away...
How can we be so reckless?
How can we be the enemy, the curse upon this earth?
Why can't we show some foresight?
Why can't we view the evidence and limit when we fly?
A dark wealth from ancient eons,
Resources that's better left,
in the ground..
To fuel our perpetual progress,
Filling mothers lungs with what she does not need
Our concrete pathways,
Spanning the land
Satisfying our in-abili-ty to
move
We never walk
We always drive
As if we do
A favour to ourselves
How can we be so reckless?
How can we be the enemy, the curse upon this earth?
Why can't we show some foresight?
Why can't we view the evidence and limit when to drive?
A dark wealth from ancient eons,
Resources that's better left,
in the ground..
To fuel our perpetual progress,
Filling mothers lungs with what she does not need

Eerie Lullaby, pt2
07:19
|
|||
The echoes ring clearly in our ears
The result of the revolution..
When the farmlands changed
into production lines
When our resources started dwindling
When we started taking more than she could give.
Now the feast is nearly over..
And of our host we leave nothing but remains..
This lullaby we're singing to ourselves,
it brings false comfort and veils the truth..
We can't go on singing the same song.
We can't continue as if nothing is wrong.
We should say we are sorry, but words do not excuse wounds so deep
Not when we are still pushing you towards your final sleep
Rather than preserving, we will destroy..
And rather than sustaining, we will exploit..
Rather than giving, we seek to gain..
In our race of financial growth
But maybe we could halt our collective greed
And maybe we can keep our atmosphere clean
And maybe we can keep our oceans cool
Maybe we could treat our nature right..
Now is the time that we must come together if we are going to make a difference!
We are far to many here, and we are overstraining mother earth..
Yet we keep the pressure up, and keep on grabbing all that we can get...
We should say we are sorry, but words do not excuse wounds so deep
Not when we are still pushing you towards your final sleep

Gunnar Sletta Bergen, Norway
Ever since I was a little kid, I've enjoyed playing and creating songs, and now I share my songs here in odd chance that
someone else might enjoy them too. My influences are many, but I tend to gravitate towards progressive rock and metal and the epic and symphonic.
I do composition, arrangement, drum programming, vocals and instruments, and mixing myself in my little home studio.
