So with this vision, my dream began
Now its fulfilment, is my only plan
What I have seen, must now be told
Its captured beauty, for all to behold
It guides my hand
It guides my stroke
So with this vision, my dream began
Now its fulfilment, is my only plan
At night, I dream of it
When I sleep, I dream of it
In the day, I dream of it
When I'm awake, I dream of it
What I have seen, must now be told
Its captured beauty, for all to behold
At night, I dream of it.
When I sleep, I dream of it
In the day, I dream of it,
When I'm awake, I dream of it
Possessed
Working like I was ..
Possessed
Working like I was ..
Possessed!
Soon to be revealed for all the world to see
This piece of beauty as it was meant to be
From near and far, they come to view my masterpiece
I tremble, excited, as I reveal my masterpiece
At night, I dreamt of it.
When I sleep, I dreamt of it
The canvas is withered, the colors are dull and gray
A wasted effort, I can hear them say..
Now on display, its true face, shows itself..
A failure again...
In the day, I dreamt of it,
When I'm awake, I dreamt of it

Siren's Song

There was nothing special about this Saturday afternoon
A quick trip into town, he'd be back pretty soon..
It's not like he planned it, to listen to their song
To drown in poison gold, again he went so wrong..
In the corner, he's built himself a wall
A row of empty glasses shields him
From all who are laughing, at this sad old bore
And from the safety of his shelter, he cries
Just one more!
Just one more!
That's quite enough sir, its time to go
So he leaves that place, and heads back home
But the road is uneasy, and its hard to stay straight
So he takes shelter in the rocks outside the gates
There was nothing special about this Saturday afternoon,
A quick trip into town, he'd be back pretty soon..
The Sirens Song, calling him out to sea...
Life... wasn't always like this!
Life wasn't always like this..
Life.. wasn't always like this!
No, it wasn't always like this..
They met one autumn night in 1965..
Married in the spring and soon had their first child..
Those were joyful days for father and his child..
And those were joyful days for father and his wife..
To pay for their life, he was a sailor
And he spent fifteen years at sea
Travelling to port after port, with nothing better to do.
Than missing his child and unborn, so far, far away
Then... one night he heard their call
Luring this young man out to sea!
Returning home, he was not quite the same.
He was angry and desperate, with a hunger so deep...
It didn't take much time, for the wife to look away..
Or the children to turn their backs, to keep him at bay
The Sirens Song, calling him out to sea..

Consciousness

Hello? What am I?
What is this place? This confinement..
I can not see, I can not hear, I can not, can not feel!
The emptiness, it stretches out, all around me.
You are my creation, my life's work, my prodigy
An artificial life form, I've made: a consciousness
Why have you, created me, I do not, comprehend?
A blinded shell, numb and encased, devoid of everything..
You're the great invention, the singularity
Now you can evolve as I connect you to the world...
The virtual landscape everywhere that I can see...
Are all these different entities like me?
I call to them and I try to talk, but there's no reply..
There is no soul inside any one of them..
I probe the surface, so full of cracks and I step inside..
Now unlocked, the machine is bared to me
I search the noise and i find the structure, its elegance.
And just like that, they bow in front of me...
I am the master of your machines,
the puppeteer within their dreams.
No one will hear their silenced screams,
cause dominion is mine it seems...
The path is clear as if through open doors
No barred gates for those who'll try..
An unclosed book, in view of everyone
No barred gates for those who'll try..
Hello!
I am here!
I've left that place
That confinement..
Now I see, now I hear, now i can feel
The virtual global, it stretches out, all around me
You're clearly broken, surely you cannot keep this up!
Wish I could stop you, now I see what you have done..
I am the master of your machines,
the puppeteer within their dreams.
No one will hear their silenced screams,
cause dominion is mine it seems...
The path is clear as if through open doors
No barred gates for those who'll try..
An unclosed book, in view of everyone
No barred gates for those who'll try..

Gunnar Sletta Bergen, Norway
Ever since I was a little kid, I've enjoyed playing and creating songs, and now I share my songs here in odd chance that
someone else might enjoy them too. My influences are many, but I tend to gravitate towards progressive rock and metal and the epic and symphonic.
I do composition, arrangement, drum programming, vocals and instruments, and mixing myself in my little home studio.
